Our Mission Statement: The Three Lakes Genealogical Society and Historical Society's Oral History project has picked up where the Three Lakes Historical Society’s histories end. We are preserving memories for our descendants by collecting memories that will otherwise be forgotten. In 2021 we completed a number of oral histories with former Three Lakes students. We hope you enjoy the memories of the Three Lakes School students of the 1940s, '50s, '60s, and early '70s! Our Collection so far: Three Lakes Schools Downtown Businesses Resorts Outdoor Sports The Ski Club The Cross Country Snowmobile Race How you can help WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU and your stories about Three Lakes! What do you know about any of the above areas? Lets us record your memories to preserve them for the future generations. Your story will become part of this history collection and be kept at the Three Lakes Historical Society Museum. Oral history is a unique opportunity for generations to hear the past through the voices of those that lived it. Everyone has a story, both the "hero”, and the "unknown” person.
