  In the 1870 census, Margaret is at home with her parents in East Troy, WI. In the 1880 Census, Margaret is listed as Maggie J. Finn and employed as a live-in servant at a hotel in Clinton, Wi, run by Lathrop Taylor By June 1900, Margaret was a widow with a 12 year old daughter and running a rooming house on Mason Street in Milwaukee. Frank J. Roemer was one of the boarders. She married him in Sept. of that year. She gave her age as 29. California Death Index gives Margaret as being born in 1871 - I believe this is a misentered number as she appeared in the 1870 census. - which gives her birth year as 1861 In 1920, Frank and Margaret are living at 636 Shepard Ave. Margaret claims an age of 45, that her father was born in New York and her mother in Scotland
