  Kenneth J. Cannon, 50, 2305 E Main St, Merrill, died on Sunday, August 4, 1974 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. Cannon, who recently received a kidney transplant has been ill for the past five years.  Mr. Cannon was born on March 15, 1924, the son of Mr and Mrs. John Cannon of Merrill. On June 29, 1946 he was married to Kathleen Karowski, she survives.  He trained nurses on the dialysis machines at the Veteran's Hospital in Madison. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the VFW, Legion, Social and Sick and DAV.  Survivors besides his wife and parents include three daughters, Mrs Gloria Gustavson, Schofield, Mrs Nadine Wolf of Wausau and Deborah at home; two sons, Keith of Rothschild and Anthony at home; two brothers Edward of Merrill and Duane of Waupaca; two sisters Mrs George Schneider and Mrs Alvin Krueger both of Merrill along with four grandchildren.  Funeral services were held on Wednesday July 7, 1974 at St. Robert's Catholic Church in Merrill. The Rev. James Nesbitt officiated and burial was in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
