1217 | Mrs. Edmund Lewandowski, 56, died in Chicago Oct 11 after a brief illness. She was the former Mary Motylewski of Three Lakes, and was brought back to Three Lakes for burial. Mrs Lewandowski was born 21 Feb 1898 in Minneapolis, and moved to Three Lakes as a small child with her parents, Mr and Mrs. John Motylewski. She was married to Edmund Lewandowski of Three Lakes 21 Nov 1921 and they made their home here until they moved to Cumberland Wis. in 1922. Although they maintained a residence in Cumberland, they had been living in Chicago since 1948. She is survived by her husband, Edmund; one son, daughter, Mrs. Helen Mizia of Superior; five grandchildren; three brothers, Leo of Minneapolis; Joe of Chicago and Adam of Three Lakes and Chicago; and four sisters, Misses Violet and Josephine, both of Arlington, Va., Mrs. Thomas (Stena) Winton of New York and Mrs. Pauline Paterson of Lanchester (Lancaster), Calif. Three Lakes, June 20--(By Correspondent of The News) Mrs. Jon Koshuta, Sr., died early Monday morning at St. Mary's hospital at Rhinelander after having been ill for the past few years. Mrs. Koshuta was taken to the hospital several days before her death when her condition had become serious. She died at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband, three sons, John and Marcy, both of Three Lakes and Anton, of Waupun, and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Binkley of Sycamore, IL., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Binkley and children and Mr. & Mrs. Anton Koshuta came here because of her death. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning in St. Teresa's Catholic church, with the Rev. A. A. Borucki of Rhinelander officiating. 1220 | Mrs. Neumann Dies in Auto Accident Mrs. Cecila Newann, wife of Walter Neumann, was killed in an auto accident at 3 a.m. Saturday, aged 45 years. Walter was seriously injured in the accident and taken to the hospital there. Cecila and Walter were on a trip from Oak Lawn, Ill., and were on their way to visit Cecila's mother, and were within 50 miles of her home. Walter's brother Robert Neuman, left Tuesday to be with Walter in Antigo. Mrs. Neumann was a sister-in-law to Mrs. A. O. His wife, Cecile often rode with him and took over when he was too sick to operate the tram safely. He died at the John Hopkins (tuberculosis) Sanitarium in Albuquerque, NM. He was survived by his wife, Cecile; his daughter, Velma; both parents; and 7 of 10 siblings. He was buried 27 Mar 1923 in an unmarked grave because Cecile did not have funds for a headstone. 1250 | Obituary from the Rhinelander (Wisconsin) Daily News, 26 October 2015: Carl "Unc" Levandoski, age 84, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Milestone Senior Living in Eagle River. Son of Henry and Stella (Rydzewski) Levandoski, Carl was born on a cold and snowy December 20, 1930, in the family farmhouse in Three Lakes. Carl was one of three triplets. Carl graduated from Three Lakes High School in 1948 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad for 30+ years and later retired to his native Three Lakes. Carl enjoyed fishing, golfing, and morning walks, especially with his dear friend [living]. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Isabelle Turnquist, Jeanne Protz, Irene Levandoski, and his triplet brother, Robert Levandoski. He is survived by his triplet brother [living] of Three Lakes, nephews [living] of Three Lakes, [living] of Land O' Lakes, [living] of Juneau, AK, and niece, [living] of Deephaven, MN. The family would like to thank Milestone and staff for the care and compassion given to Carl while he was a resident there. Funeral services for Carl will be held on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, with a 10:30 am Mass at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Three Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior. Carl was a wonderful brother, uncle, and friend. His smile, hearty laugh, and charismatic personality seemed to follow him wherever he went.
