1157 | Marjorie D. "Marge" Clairmore of Rhinelander, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Rennes Health & Rehab at the age of 87 years. She was born Oct. 7, 1927, in Superior, the daughter of Archie and Nettie (McIntyre) Clairmore. Marge was employed for over 40 years at the Claridge Hotel where she was the head of housekeeping. Marge will be dearly missed by her brother, Richard "Jerry" (Joyce) Clairmore of Florida, brother-in-law, Orville Kneisl of Wausau. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and by her special friends at Evergreen Manor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Nettie Clairmore; son, Bruce Clairmore on June 29, 1998; brother, James (Clara) Clairmore, sisters, Lorraine Kneisl and Betty (Oscar) Erickson-Lundberg Sr, and one niece, Lisa Lundberg. 1166 | Martin E. Kunda, age 71 of Sugar Camp, WI, passed away at home among his family, on Friday. October 2, 2015 in the care of hospice. He was born on July 4, 1944 in Rhinelander, WI the son of Ernest and Emma (Dahlin) Kunda. Martin was a lifelong resident of Sugar Camp and a graduate of Three Lakes High School in 1962. He entered the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. He later became a machinist having an apprenticeship with the Harnisfeger Corp. in Milwaukee, WI. He was married to Diana Orphan in 1968. Martin owned and operated Kunda Excavating and later was employed by the Rhinelander Paper Company retiring in 2006. Martin was a motorcycle enthusiest and enjoyed time riding his Goldwing. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Kunegunda Catholic Church in Sugar Camp. He is survived by his wife Diana of Sugar Camp, sons Tony (Michelle Beddore) of Chanhassen, MN and Kris of Sugar Camp, brothers John (Peggy) of Rhinelander and Arizona, Kenneth of Sugar Camp, Ernie (Jill) of Venice, FL and Mike of Sugar Camp, sisters Connie Maney of Sugar Camp, Deanna (Tom) O'Malley of Wisconsin and Arizona, Emma (Joe) Clure of Sugar Camp and Kathy (Mike Rychlock) of Three Lakes and Idaho, sister-in-law Barbara (Bruce) Maney of Sugar Camp and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and motorcycle buddies. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at St. Kunegunda Catholic Church. 1181 | MERRILL,WISCONSIN ---Sister Mary Charles Rydzewski, 88, Sister of Mercy of the Holy Cross, died June 22, 2013, at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill, WI, under the care of the staff at Bell Tower Residence and Aspirus Comfort Care. Sister Mary Charles was born January 12, 1925, in Three Lakes, WI, daughter of the late Charles and Felicia (Mroczkowski) Rydzewski, and given the name Henrietta. Sister entered Holy Cross Convent in Merrill on November 9, 1954, and celebrated her First Profession on August 22, 1956. She was in her 56th year of ministry as a Holy Cross Sister. Sister Mary Charles received her education at Three Lakes High School, Marquette University, Saint Louis University and Gonzaga University. She spent the majority of her ministry in hospital administration. Her assignments took her to St. Joseph's Hospital, Breese, IL, where she was instrumental in planning for the new hospital and moving to the new facility. She also ministered at St. Mary's Hospital, Cairo, IL and Holy Cross Hospital, Merrill, WI, where she laid the foundation for an orderly transfer to another sponsor. Sister also ministered as vice-president of Health Ministry for the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System in Baton Rouge, LA. She served 5 years on the Wisconsin Health Facilities Board, a Governor appointed position. She also served as vice-president and president of the Merrill Chamber of Commerce and was named citizen of the year in Breese, IL. Sister retired to Bell Tower Residence in 2006 where she continued her prayer ministry and also served as president of the Residents' Council. Sister was an avid reader, enjoyed nature and visits to the lake with family and friends. She is survived by her family of Holy Cross Sisters and Associates, nieces and nephews. 1197 | Miss Irene Levandoski, 20-year-old daughter of Mrs. Henry Levandoski, died early Monday morning in the General hospital at Madison, where she had been a patient since last Saturday. Her death was caused by bronchial pneumonia, complicated by other ailments which had kept her in St Mary's hospital at Rhinelander for a month previous. Miss Levandoski was born and raised in Three Lakes, and she graduated from the high school here in 1935. She was well known in this community, and her death came as a shock to residents here. She had been working at the Dowden Medicine Lake Lodge this summer until she became ill about Aug. 15. She leaves her mother; two sisters, Isabelle and Jean; and three brothers, Jimmy, Johnny and Junior, triplets. Her father preceded her in death several years ago.
