    After being widowed, George married Miss Elizabeth Alliger, daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Alliger, who was about 33 years his junior.

    "George Kuney died at his residence in Fayette, Dec. 20, aged seventy-five years, one month and twenty-two days. Mr. Kuney was born in Fayette, on what is known as the Flicklnger farm. In 1828 he was married to Christina Menges, whose death occurred about 1863. In 186 he was married to Miss Elizabeth Alliger, of Waterloo. He was a farmer and the father of ten children, six of whom are now living. Mr. Kuney had long been in feeble health, having suffured from lung difficulty for nearly forty years. He was a man universally respected, and was noted for his honor, integrity and exact justice to all men." (Seneca County Courier, Jan. 10, 1884)
