Discussion of possible topics for Thursdays in Three Lakes library presentations - Beginning DNA, What is Genealogy, Genealogy Software, DAR, Introduce TLGS, Planning for genealogy project, Area Research Centers. For further TLGS meetings, Nancy had said she had viewed one of the Webinars suggested by Marie and thought it had a great deal of information c. Email Helpline Ð it was suggested that this should not be tied to a memberÕs private email and we will investigate being hosted with the Library or Historical Society or something. NEW BUSINESS: a. Approval for paying for Post Office box - passed b. Oral History project. Considerable discussion entailed. Beth Mentioned that she had done some work while teaching a couple decades ago and the Historical Society had it. This work was on VHS tapes Ð further discussion on getting these transferred to digital. Also could recordings be made when interviewing elderly locals on Zoom Ð storage on Youtube Ð storage with regional centers - https://recollectionwisconsin.org/ The meeting was adjourned about 1:38 PM.
