TLGS MEETING NOTES 1/28/19 MEMBERS PRESENT: Nancy Brewster, Irene Farkas, Les Anderson, Maureen Brand, Nancy Bailey, Robert Bailey, Marie Byatt Guests: Beth Jacobson, Bruce Jacobson, Mary Lynn Garbowicz 1:02pm President Nancy Brewster called the meeting to order. Nancy Brewster distributed the minutes from our last meeting to those who had not seen them. One correction noted; spelling of the name Lenora Terk. Motion to correct spelling made by Nancy Brewster and second by Nancy Bailey. All in favor. TREASURES REPORT: Nancy Brewster read into the record the treasures report submitted by Treasurer Noreen Rossa. Bob Bailey moved they be accepted. Nancy Bailey second. All in favor. Accepted. OLD BUSINESS: Nancy Brewster reported that the August open house was good. She reported that the Christmas luncheon was poorly attended but everyone had a good time and the abundance of food was delicious. The Scanning Fair in November was a great success. Karen Cottingham coordinated it. Suggested another one should be planned later this year. Maybe this summer. Scanners can be checked out from the library. ????? Ask Erica Brewster???? ( I THINK I HEARD THAT RIGHT) Undecided webinar will be programming for February-June. Our summer program will be geared toward beginners. Marie Byatt and Bob Bailey will do something on Ancestry and Family Search. (Perhaps in February) Les Anderson was asked to update our website. It had been down for months but now us up and working again. He will look at it. NEW BUSINESS: Bob Bailey showed us a new book he had written. It is his 3rd. We welcome 3 new members (or guests). Each member took a turn to introduce his/her self and talk a bit about their research and brick walls. Our next meeting will be February 25, 2019. Perhaps we will meet at the new library if everything goes well. If it's not ready we will meet at the Reiter Center again. To be announced later. (That program may be Bob Bailey and Marie Byatt)??
