Three Lakes Genealogical Society Minutes Ð October 22.2018 Prepared by Marie Byatt and Irene Farkas Call to Order - 1. At 1:08 p.m. - meeting was called to order by President Nancy Brewster. In attendance Ð Irene Farkas, Maureen Brand, Robert Bailey, Nancy Bailey, June McDuffie, Charlene Roberts, Marie Byatt and Nancy Brewster 2. At 1:10 p.m. -Approval of Minutes - Proposed by Charlene, approved 3. Review of TreasurerÕs Report Ð approved 4. Correspondence Ð Received - Thank you from the Library for participation A thank you card was passed around for us to sign and send to last monthÕs program presenter for her remotely executed program on trip to Europe. Finding my Hungarian Roots Ð So I thought. It was very well done. Noreen Rossa helped bring us that program. 5. Old Business a. Open House and August meeting were summarized b. Future programs Ð July 2019 Meeting will be an open house targeting beginners. Marie will circulate a list of possible webinars for viewing . Pleas submit choices for early 2019 viewing. c. The annual TLGS Christmas luncheon will be December 3, 2018, 12:30 Ð 3:30 pm at the Ritter Center. d. Business card was approved 6. New Business Bob Bailey reported on his continued research on Nora A. Turk. (This is a look up for the Historical Society. She is the first burial in the Three Lakes Cemetery) There was mention of making a swing board for the museum if enough information can be found. Karen Cottingham was a guest and reported on the community Scanning Project to take place on November 3, 2018 at the Reiter Center. It will be open to the public from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Volunteers should meet an hour earlier. TLGS will have a table and display at the event. 7. Successes and brick walls 8. Next meeting Ð January's meeting will be a Members Helping Members meeting. The date will be January 28, 2019 at the Reiter Center unless otherwise notified. Maybe the new library will be ready for us to resume meeting there. 9.
