The treasurer report was accepted. Possible genealogy road trips: History Library in Madison, Genealogy Library in Ft. Wayne,and the Family History Center in Wausau. Members chose to visit the Family History Center in Wausau. Irene has gathered information on the Family History Center in Wausau, and Debby has sent members the information. Let Debby know by the March 26 meeting if you plan to attend. The Obituary Project has completed 48 years. At this time, the Rootsweb page is down so the pages cannot be viewed.. The Vilas County News Review includes our project as an obituary link on their site. We will talk with the Family History Center about including our Obituary Project. Erica Brewster spoke about adopting a tote of books (100) while the library construction takes place, preferably from the Genealogy Room. Each borrower will be given a list of the books they have 'borrowed', and the Genealogical Society members could possibly lend to each other. Erica will be sending an email with further information to those who have signed up to give the books a good home. Our March meeting and the following meetings until the library construction ends will be at the Reiter Center the fourth Monday at 1 pm Meeting adjourned Submitted: Maureen Brand News: Internet Genealogy This magazine has research information for Ireland and is found in Demmer Tom Doberstein will be speaking at the Boulder Junction library April 3 at 1 pm His topic is what can be found in the city directory Marge Behling presented a program from the Great Courses series Discovering Your Roots, An Introduction to Genealogy We viewed a 30 minute DVD entitled ÒLibrary-Shelves Full of Family HistoryÓ Marge presented her own Power Point depicting how she traced the travels of an ancestor.
