Three Lakes Genealogical Society January, 2017

Members present: Maureen Brand, Charlene Roberts, Irene Farkas, June McDuffie, Donna Mather, Marge Behling, Joyce Mogytych, Marie Byatt, Roger Blocks, Robert Bailey, Les Anderson, Debby Selman, Nancy Bailey, John Roberts. Guest: Bob Bintar

President Debby Selman called the meeting to order. The minutes from October, 2016 were approved.
Robert Bailey presented the Treasurer's Report, and was approved. 

Family History Boards= Donna Mather and Irene Farkas will prepare a board when a family requests and can provide family information.

Members present agreed to host the TLGS Open House at Demmer Library, February 25, 2017 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. There will be: * invitations sent to past members and interested persons,
* members with computers available to assist guests with researching families

*a display of genealogy information (family history books, family trees, forms, magazines, websites list, scrapbooks, etc.)

*refreshments

*guided tour of Family History Room and scan pro

*Marie's tribal pages website with information on Three Lakes and Sugar Camp families

* Flyers to be posted around town, schools, radio, and web.

* Getting Started booklet could be available.

*Hoping for a good turn out of members and interested genealogists. Successes were presented. Meeting adjourned.

Program

Charlene Roberts, Roger Blocks and Robert Bailey shared their family history books, and explained their method of completing them.
