Three Lakes Genealogical Society Meeting Minutes August 22, 2016 Members Present: Robert and Nancy Bailey, Maureen Brand, Nancy Brewster, Marie Byatt, Irene Farkas, Robert Killick, and Joyce Mogytych Guest Present: Jackie Kuehn The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Nancy Brewster at 1:10 p.m. The minutes were approved as published. The TreasurerŐs report was filed. Dues for TLGS are due in September. The amount remains at $15. Please bring them to the September meeting or mail them to: TLGS, PO 101, Three Lakes, WI 54562. Old Business: Ą Bylaws - The Bylaws committee presented the proposed changes. They were approved. Secretary Nancy Bailey will type the new bylaws and send them via email to members. Ą Election for the offices of President and Secretary will occur at the October meeting. Please contact Irene Farkas is you wish to serve in one of these offices. Ą Irene Farkas discussed Jane Riley, who has information about the Indian Lake area. It was suggested this could be a joint project with the Historical Society. New Business: Ą The Northwoods Genealogical Society has a Cemetery Walk in Presque Isle on Tuesday, September 6 at 5:30 Đ 8:30 p.m. Ą Irene Farkas reported that reported that Sue Henderson has completed the 1980Ős for the Obituary Project. Ą Be aware people are losing their family trees on ancestry.com. Brick Walls: Members shared their current projects and ideas. The September meeting will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26 at the Demmer Memorial Library. Marie Byatt will continue her presentation of ŇSetting up Your Own Website.
