TLGS does donate some funding for this expense, and there is about $20 left. Charlene moved that TLGS donate $50 to the library for this expense. It was seconded by Irene Farkas, and the motion passed. - Irene presented information about the Obituary Project. People on this committee include Irene, June, Maureen, Debbie, Charlene and Nancy. This group still is discussing the end product, procedure and storage. - “Live History Day” in July of 2014 (working with the Historical Museum) was discussed. The idea is to expand on a “living history” theme. People, possibly relatives, would portray pioneers of Three Lakes. Names mentioned were Fred French, Dell Brewster, the Johnsons, and Carl Marty. Nancy Brewster will verify the date. - A book in memory of Dan Petras still has not been purchased. - Organization of the TLGS historical files is close to completion. Irene, Charlene, and Nancy Brewster will meet to go through the last box. - Feedback on the Genealogy Swat Team program was requested. - Nancy Kimla said her time with Charlene was very helpful. - People didn’t gather around those doing the project. - If this idea is repeated, it was suggested the entire group work on one “Brick Wall.” Someone would be at the computer, and the group would brainstorm. New Business: - The Christmas Party will be on 9 December. Donna Mather and Nancy Bailey are co-chairs. The party will begin at noon. Information will be sent to our members soon. - Are we going to participate in Heritage Fest next year? It was in June this year. - Nancy Bailey needs a substitute secretary in January.
